2022 Regular Season Summary and Playoff Preview

Regular Season

The regular season wrapped up last week, with the Twin City Arrows winning both of their games to claim the NSSLL 2022 Regular Season title and the #1 seed going into the playoffs. The Colby Pool Sharks lost both of their games last week but still managed to finish in a 2^nd place tie with the Halifax Hustle. The Pool Sharks grab the 2^nd seed by virtue of both their head-to-head record against the Hustle (2-1-1), and a better goal differential.

#4 Fighting Orangutans vs #1 Twin City Arrows
  
The Twin City Arrows open the 2022 NSSLL Playoffs at home against the Fighting Orangutans Tuesday June 28^th at 7:00pm. The Arrows dominated the Orangutans in the regular season, winning three of the four games played and outscoring the Orangutans 41-31.
  
The Twin City Arrows last made the NSSLL Finals in 2021 and last won the Finck Cup in 2014. The Fighting Orangutans have made the Finals in three of the last four years and are the 2019 Finck Cup Champions.
  
#3 Halifax Hustle vs #2 Colby Pool Sharks

Defending Finck Cup Champions, the Colby Pool Sharks, begin their title defense against the Halifax Hustle on Tuesday June 28^th at 9:00pm.  While the Pool Sharks and Hustle had similar records during the regular season the Pool Sharks had a slight edge head-to-head with 2 wins and a tie in 4 games, and a slight edge in goals, outscoring the Hustle 48-44.

The Colby Pools Sharks have won four of the last five NSSLL Championships and have made the Finals six years in a row. The Halifax Hustle’s lone Championship came in 2015, which was the last time they made the Finals.
