Orangutans Take Game 1 of the 2022 NSSLL Finals

The Orangutans led 4-2 after 2 periods, but the Hustle scored twice, including Dalton Brown's goal with 4:35 remaining to tie the game 4-4.  Just 35 seconds later Chris Duplisea scores to give the Orangutans a 1-goal lead, and then Mitch Broussard added an insurance marker (and the eventual game winner) with 2:53 left on the game.

Zac Carrigan scored for the Hustle with 2:14 remaining to make it a 1-goal game, but the Hustle could not complete the comeback and fall to the Orangutans 6-5.

Mitch Broussard had a hat-trick and Bryce Mayea added 2 more goals. Chris Duplisea was the other scorer for the Orangutans, who entered the playoffs as the 4th seed.
